China telecom launches Hello 5G plan :17 cities carry out scale test

First, jointly promote the maturity of 5G standards

Second, jointly build 5G smart network

China telecom has put forward the 5G network architecture of "three clouds" for the first time in the industry, which is composed of access cloud, control cloud and forwarding cloud. Access to the cloud to achieve business access and traffic absorption, control cloud to achieve centralized control of network functions and open capacity, forwarding cloud to achieve high-speed traffic forwarding, traffic direct. The future 5G network is an intelligent new network with comprehensive cloud-based and application integration. Based on the NFV/SDN architecture, it supports network slicing, edge computing and other new features.

It is reported that China telecom will set up a 5G innovation center to do 5G research and innovation. We will build 5G demonstration projects and conduct large-scale trials in 17 cities. According to the general plan, we will speed up preparations and strive to achieve 5G commercial scale by 2020.

Third, jointly innovate 5G application mode

5G is application-oriented. China telecom will work with you to create new driving force, new mode and new height for 5G application. In terms of application cooperation, we will strengthen the integration of solid migration and cloud and network, and cultivate new driving forces for 5G application. Within this year, a 5G application innovation alliance will be established, and a white paper on 5G application cooperation will be issued.

In terms of application innovation, it should fully integrate and share with alliance members to promote 5G development from connection to connection and realize the interconnection of all things. From content to application, more focus on consumption scenarios; From products to services, more attention should be paid to the provision of overall solutions, so as to create a new mode of 5G application. In terms of application expansion, we will work with alliance members to build "higher, faster and stronger" series of enhanced mobile broadband applications, ultra-high definition video and other general innovative applications, as well as vertical industrial applications such as smart cities, so as to promote consumption upgrading, innovation upgrading and industrial upgrading and push 5G application development to a new height.

Fourth, common prosperity of 5G terminal industry

China telecom will highlight the features of "large bandwidth, large connection and quasi-real-time" and accelerate the diversification of 5G terminals. In the era of 5G, China telecom will continue to adhere to 5G all-netcom and innovative pan-intelligence development strategy, pay more attention to AI energy generation, experience improvement, protocol interoperability and security enhancement, and create a broader space for the industry in chip/module, radio frequency antenna, all-netcom terminal and intelligent applications and other fields.

China telecom will jointly establish a 5G terminal r&d alliance with terminal chip, brand manufacturers and instrument manufacturers, issue a white paper 1.0 on 5G terminals of China telecom, and launch research on industrial terminals.
